facebookWaretown, which is located just a short distance from Long Beach Island, will host its annual Waretown Spring Wine Festival, Saturday, April 23th through Sunday, April 24th, 2016.


The wine festival will be held in the Waretown Recreation and Lake Area, located at 182 Wells Mill Road.

On Saturday, April 23, through Sunday, April 24, festival goers can look forward to sampling wines from a nice variety of award-winning Garden State wineries. In addition to wine tastings, there will also be live entertainment, as well as crafters, retail vendors, food vendors, and a children’s play area. The festival will be held each day from 12 p.m. noon to 5 p.m. ET., rain or shine.

The cost to attend is $12 in advance or $15 at the gate for those over 21. A two-day ticket will also be available for $25. Tickets available online. Designated drivers are allowed in for free.

All net proceeds from the wine festival are donated to Sylvia’s Children, a Holmdel-based 501(c)3 organization working over the past 12 years to improve the living conditions for more than 1,000 children in the village of Mbiriizi in Uganda, Africa.
